The

the woodworking,
furniture making sector in the world and is one of the driving forces in the
italian

All the companies making up this sector are represented in this area: from the
manufactures of woodwork equipment and machine tools, to the manufactures of
furniture, from the doors and windows manufactures to the manufactures of furniture
accessories (handles, hinges, etc), from the manufactures of kitchens to the
manufactures of lamps.
In the Brianza there is the highest concetration of high-level furniture makers:

production against 13% in the rest of Italy. Also the Brianza is the area where
there is
the highest concentration of leading furniture companies whose production is
designed
by the best furniture designers in the world (Castiglioni, Sottsass, Magistretti,
Citterio,
Ron Arad, Starck and many others).

The
main characteristics of the firms of the Brianza-many of Which have
retained their
character of craftsmanship-are their passionate love for their craft, the capacity
of
making the best furniture in the world, the use of top-quality materials, combined
with
state-of-the art tecnology, excellent design, and a constant attention to capture
the taste
of the customers.
In addition, the tight links existing among the over 5,000 furniture-makers of
the
